Description

Rustproof stainless steel rack has a flat base that accommodates a variety of canning jar sizes, including wide mouth and regular mouth sizes. Holds up to 7 quart- or 8 pint-sized jars. Rack elevates jars safely off the bottom of the canning pot and allows water to freely circulate around them. Extra-long, silicone handles offer a sure grip for safely raising and lowering jars while keeping hands safe from hot water and fold flat for compact storage.

Dr. Brigid McCrea

Educational, Extension Specialist, Chicken Whisperer

Dr. Brigid McCrea is an Extension Specialist at Auburn University working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Science are from the University of California at Davis, and Ph.D. in Poultry Science is from Auburn University. She specializes in small flocks; niche market poultry products; and both pre– and post-harvest food safety. She is also the co-author of “The Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Keeping Chickens,” “Chicken Fact or Chicken Poop,” and “Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Zero Waste Chicken Keeping.”
