Description

Sienna Ceramics fermentation weights are perfect for your homemade ferments. The weights are heavy and round and fit easily into standard-size or wide-mouth mason jars, so no need to transfer to other jars. Designed with a hole in the center to let the bubbles escape, and high-fired to resist absorbing liquids. Each weight has a decorative pyramid design. Standard full circle weights come in a set of 2. Split weights come with two pieces to make a full circle.

Dr. Brigid McCrea

Educational, Extension Specialist, Chicken Whisperer

Dr. Brigid McCrea is an Extension Specialist at Auburn University working with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Avian Science are from the University of California at Davis, and Ph.D. in Poultry Science is from Auburn University. She specializes in small flocks; niche market poultry products; and both pre– and post-harvest food safety. She is also the co-author of “The Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Keeping Chickens,” “Chicken Fact or Chicken Poop,” and “Chicken Whisperer’s Guide to Zero Waste Chicken Keeping.”
